What is Reality?
Reality is the lifestyle programme of the Sanlam Group and aims to save our members time and money on lifestyle purchases, helping members live and maintain a healthier lifestyle and educating our members on a number of topics including finance.
How do I take-up this Dining benefit?
If you are already a member of the Reality programme you immediately qualify for our Reality Dining benefit. Simply call 0860 732 5489 to activate this benefit or e-mail us at info@reality.co.za.
If you are not a Reality member but you are a Sanlam client you also qualify to become a member of this programme from only R25 per month! Simply call 0860 732 5489 to get more information or to register.
How much does the Dining benefit cost?

How do I know which restaurants are part of this benefit?
On this website you will find a drop down menu that is divided per province and town. Here we list all the restaurants that are participating in this benefit and that falls under the province or town you selected.
How do I use the Dining benefit?
- On this website view the restaurants available in your area of interest (as explained above) and choose two options.
- Call Reality 48 hours before you would like to go to the restaurant and submit your booking request on 0860 732 5489 - Reality will make the booking on your behalf.
- Reality will then confirm the booking and which restaurant is available within 24 hours of your request via telephone, email or sms with you.
- Don't forget to take this proof of booking with you to the restaurant and at the end of your dining experience you will receive up to R120 off from the normal set menu indicated on your bill..
How do I cancel a booking?
Simply call Reality on 0860 732 5489 during office hours and we will do the cancellation on your behalf, if after hours you would need to phone the restaurant yourself.
How does the free meal work?
The Reality 2FOR1 Dining benefit entitles you to a free meal (to a maximum value of R120) at any participating restaurant. However, to qualify for the main meal another main meal of the same value or more must be purchased at the full price. The free meal will be the cheaper meal that you ordered of the two. Therefore, if out of the two main meals the cheaper meal is R79 you will only receive R79 of your total bill. Your free meal can be up to R120 only if the other main meal is R120 or more.
If my family eats out, would the kiddies meal off the kiddies menu then be the free meal as it is the cheaper one.
Kiddies meals are not applicable if ordered off the kiddies menu - however, should you child order of the normal menu and that meal is the cheaper main meal, it would be the one you get for free.
